Race Course
Start and finish on Prairie under the Wortham Arch. The course is on flat concrete city streets, USAT&F sanctioned and certified road race, TX08027ETM. To satisfy insurance requirements, no skates, roller blades, strollers, bikes or animals are permitted on the course for the 5K run participant’s safety.
Competitive Timing
Run timing for competitive 5K runners will be done using “D-tag” with each competitive 5K runners’ bib, distributed early at Packet Pick-Up or on Race Day.
3K Family Walk and Kid's 1K
Not a competitive runner? Show your support in the fight against
prostate cancer by joining the 3K Family Walk. You can also run with your child in the Kid's 1K (12 and under), where every kid finishing receives a medal.

Entry fee is non-refundable.

* At Early Packet Pickups – no registrations on race
day. Registration completed electronically with payment by credit card.
* U.S. Mail: Must be received by Saturday, June 11, 2011. Complete and sign the entry form on the reverse side. Entry forms are available at any Randall’s Food Market or may be downloaded and printed - Click Here. Pay by check, payable to Dad’s Day 5k. Your cancelled check is your receipt.
Packet Pick-Up
Race packets (race number, D-tag, t-shirt, race info) may be picked
up prior to the race on:
• Saturday, June 11, 11am to 6pm at New Balance, 1800 Post Oak Blvd.
• Wednesday, June 15, 11am to 6pm at Fleet Feet Sports,
6590 Woodway Dr.
• Thursday, June 16, 11am to 6pm at Carol Piper Rugs, 1809 West Gray
• Race Day, Saturday, June 18, 6:30-7:30am, at Wortham Arch,
550 Prairie, Houston, TX 77002. No race day registrations.
Awards Men, Women & Kids:
5K Timed Run: (Electronic Timing by D-Tag)
Trophies to the following winners:
Top male and female overall
1st place male and female Master (40 - 54)
1st place male and female Senior (55+)
Top 3 prostate cancer survivors
Commerative Medals to the following winners:
1st, 2nd and 3rd place in each age group - 14 & under, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75 and over. No duplicate awards given.
Kids’ 1K: All kids (12 and under) who finish will WIN a commemorative medal. Trophies for the top 3 kids.
Door Prizes: All finishers will automatically be entered to win one of several fantastic door prizes (including airline tickets), given out
during the awards ceremony. (Must be present to win)

Team Events
Participation by teams, either walking or running, is encouraged.
Teams must choose to compete either by team size or team speed. Teams can participant in the following categories:
Team Size - for those who take it easy in the 3K and 5K, with no
limit to the number of participants. Win by forming the largest teams.
Team Speed - Unlimited number of co-ed runners, each running
5K, with the summed score of the five best finishers in any
combination of age groups/gender determining place.

Awards will be given to the top three teams in each category and will be mailed to the Team Captain. Additional instructions will be
available on-line and at packet pick-up.
Post Race Activities-It's About Families!
Lots of Fun, Food, and Music! Door Prizes – along with the presentation of awards and door prize drawings. Refreshments are
served in the plaza on the Texas Avenue side of the Wortham Center.

Medical Aid -
Medical aid facilities will be available. Remember to drink plenty of
fluids before and during the race. Water Stations will be along the
course. We take reasonable precautions in planning a safe event.
Participation is at your own risk.

One family photo will be provided at no charge. Cox Sports
Photography will be photographing runners along the course. Their
photos will be on display for purchase at www.coxsportsphotos.com by Wednesday, June 22.
Location and Parking
The race location at Wortham Center is downtown, 501 Prairie,
77002, at Smith, close to the Downtown Aquarium. Parking space is abundant on city streets and nearby lots, but is not free.
